What was observed during inspection tours and in cooperation with the Ministry of Health on beauty centers, pharmacies and optics centers there and violations

​       Asharqia Chamber presents its greetings and informs you of receiving the letter of the Council of Saudi Chambers No. (479) dated 10/2/1439 and referring to the letter of the General Authority for Food and Drugs No. 5444 / AD date 4/2 / 1439, regarding what was noticed during inspection tours and in cooperation with the Ministry of Health on beauty centers, pharmacies and optics centers, there are violations related to the lack of licenses to authorize the marketing of medical devices and products used by them, according to circulars issued by the General Authority for Food and Drug that all medical devices and products must be authorized to market .

Therefore, it is necessary to ensure that all medical devices and products that are willing to work on them have a marketing authorization certificate, avoid misleading claims in medical devices and advertisements, and comply with the claim in the operating manual, with the need to obtain prior permission for any advertising material whether visible, audible, and in case of any queries or in the event of accidents or suspicion of any device or medical product is contrary to communication on the unified call center: 19999 or through the website of the National Center for Medical Devices and Products: www.ncmdr.sfda.gov.sa or e-mail: MDS @ sfda.gov.sa.
